Property: Colorless plate-like crystal. The taste is salty and bitter. Deliquescent.

Solubility: Soluble in water, ethanol, acetone, ether.
Packing: Cardboard barrel lined with plastic bags. The net weight of each barrel is 25kg. It can be packed according to the special requirements of users.
Storage: Sealed in a cool dry place. Soluble in water and ethanol. The solubility in 100g of water is 163.5g (0°C), 177.8g (20°C). The solubility is maximum at about 120°C. Its aqueous solution can precipitate dihydrate at temperatures above 84% to 89% °C. It absorbs CO2 in the air and slowly decomposes to release iodine.
Uses: It is mainly used as an important raw material for the manufacture of nitric acid chemical industry. Nitric acid has strong oxidation and corrosion. Its aqueous solution is also called nitric acid water or ammonia nitrogen water. Nitric acid can be used in the production of dyes, pesticides, and fertilizers in industry.
